17 Pakistanis Returned Home after Being Released from India

According to the sources, the prisoners who were freed from India said that Pakistani prisoners are treated badly in Indian jails. In particular, many Pakistanis in Tihar Jail have completed their sentences, but Indian intelligence agencies are standing in the way of their release. Pakistani prisoners are subjected to the worst physical torture; they are starved and thirsty.

According to another statement issued by the Foreign Office, lists of prisoners in each other's custody were exchanged between the two countries. At present, there are 705 Indians under detention in various jails in Pakistan, including 51 civilians and 654 fishermen. At the same time, the number of Pakistanis imprisoned in Indian jails is 434, including 339 civilian prisoners and 95 fishermen.
