1.7M People Participated in Election Rally of Turkish President, Makes Historic Record

Turkish President Erdogan

Newstoday: The election rally of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan witnessed the remarkable participation of 1.7 million people, which has set a new record in the history of Turkey. The gathering was held at the Atatürk Airport, a symbol of the struggle for democracy against the failed military operation in 2016. According to Turkish media reports, this mammoth event is a strong response to the criticism leveled against President Erdogan and Turkey by the Western media.

In his address, the President made a commitment to reduce inflation, increase salaries and initiate development projects for the betterment of the people and the nation. Due to his illness, President Erdogan was unable to take part in the election campaign for a few days, and now the stage is set for a tough competition between him and the opposition candidate in the upcoming general elections scheduled for May 14.
