2,470 Sikh Pilgrims Reached Pakistan to Celebrate Baisakhi Festival

News today; Sikh pilgrims reached Lahore from India on Sunday to participate in the 10-day Baisakhi celebrations at many gurdwaras in Punjab. Around 2,470 pilgrims crossed the Wagah Atari border to commemorate, Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Janam Asthan and Gurdwara Dera Sahib located in Lahore, and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib (Kartarpur). At the Wagah border, Mukuka Waqf Amalak Board members and other related agencies welcomed the pilgrims and served them with langar. The pilgrims expressed their happiness in media appearances and said they felt like Pakistan was their own country in which to meet their Guru. Sikh pilgrims journeyed to Nankana Sahib on the road in dedicated buses while being guarded. After landing at Nankana, they was given lunch before going to the Gurdwaras and Guru Nanak Devji's birthplace to participate in religious rites. Today, April 10, he will travel to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda (Farooqabad), then he will use the same day to drive back to Nankana Sahib. On April 11, they would visit more local Nankana Gurdwaras before departing on April 12 for Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal.
