Azerbaijani Artist Writes Holy Quran With Gold on Silk Pages in 3 Years

Newstoday: Azerbaijani artist Tunzale Memmedzade has wonderfully transcribed the Holy Quran on translucent silk sheets. The first translation of the Quran to be printed on silk pages is this one. There are gorgeous gold and silver inks employed. Memmedzade, a 33-year-old Turkish artist and art student at Marmara University, completed the piece over the course of three years using 164 feet of silk fabric and 1,500 milliliters of gold and silver ink.
