Google Announced its First 'Pixel Fold' Phone Worth $1,700

Samsung Galaxy Z

Newstoday: Google has recently revealed its upcoming foldable phone, called the Pixel Fold, and has released a video showcasing its external display. This highly anticipated device will be officially introduced at the Google IO conference on May 10, 2023, and two models will be made available. However, Google has not disclosed any specific details about its features or specifications, which are likely to be unveiled during the conference.

Based on the teaser video, the Pixel Fold appears to have a similar opening style to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold and will feature a rear-mounted camera. Earlier reports suggest that it will have a 5.8-inch screen when folded and a 7.6-inch display when unfolded into a tablet, powered by the Google Tensor G2 Processor. The device is expected to weigh around 10 ounces and have an optimized folding crease (hinge). The introductory price is rumored to be around $1700. This is because Google has requested developers to create apps and graphical interfaces for large-screen phones, suggesting a possible release in the near future. Additionally, Google plans to launch its new tablet, the Google Pixel Tablet, by the end of 2023.
