Govt of Balochistan Received its first Payment of $3 million to start Reko Diq Project

NewsToday: Barrick Gold Cooperation has paid 3 million dollars as the first payment to Balochistan Govt for the Reko Diq project initiative.Manager Ali Rind gave the cheque to Saidal Khan Luin, the mines and minerals development secretary. The project will announce to employ 7,500 people, and once the project starts, there are possibilities to create 4,000 job opportunities.

The company plans to end this project by the last of 2024 to start its first production in 2028. Reko Diq is a golden box producing high-quality copper-gold concentrate. The project will take place in two phases, beginning with the plant processing 40 million tonnes of ore per annum, which is expected to double in 5 years.
