Harsh Punishment for Pakistani Pilgrims Carrying "Naswar" During Hajj

Newstoday: Saudi Arabian officials have issued a strong warning to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims, saying that anybody detected traveling with Naswar will face serious punishment. The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has up posters in airports across Pakistan alerting pilgrims of the dire repercussions of drug-related offenses in Saudi Arabia. It is worth noting that Naswar, a sort of smokeless tobacco, was recently added to the list of substances illegal in all Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia.

In addition to the medication caution, the Saudi Ministry of Health has urged all Hajj pilgrims to get all essential vaccinations before beginning their journey. The Ministry has stressed that receiving the necessary immunizations is a basic need for obtaining a Hajj permit, which will be given beginning on the 15th of Shawwal.
