Newstoday: Google has planned to hold seven Women Techmakers (WTM) meetings in Pakistan this year to promote and empower around 1,550 female engineers in five locations. The seven events, which will include rallies, seminars, networking events, and conferences, will take place from March 8 to May and will give training in various entrepreneurial sectors, such as leadership, technical abilities, and handling special hurdles women face in technology. According to the news release, the events will be hosted by local WTM ambassadors with assistance from Google. The WTM ambassador program assists women in technology who want to make a difference and give back to their communities.
"These events, in cooperation with Women Techmakers (WTM) Ambassadors, not only highlight the successes of women in tech, but will also inspire more women to join the fast-growing tech industry," said Farhan S. Qureshi, Google Regional Director for Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
