Pakistan Batsman Babar Azam Wins ICC Cricketer of Year Award Consecutively

NewsToday: Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team, won the award for the best batsman in the world of cricket. 

The International Cricket Council has awarded Babar Azam with the prestigious cricket of the year award 2022. He also won another award as best captainancy award of the Pakistan national team in the year of  2021. He scored 679 runs at an average of 84.87 in 9 matches in 2022, which included three centuries and five fifties. Before Babar Azam, India's MS Dhoni, South Africa's AB de Villiers, and India's Virat Kohli have also won this award twice consecutively.

Bill also included Babar Azam in the squad by appointing England captain Ben Stokes for the ICC Test of the Year Team 2022. Babar Azam had a great year in Test cricket, despite the results of the Pakistani team being unsuccessful. At the time of Babar's captaincy , the white ball performance was remarkable, dropping just one game out of Nine from Australia.
