Pemra Orders Complete Ban on Broadcasting Imran Khan's Speeches

Newstoday: Pakistan Electronic Media regulator Authority (Pemra) ordered to ban on the live broadcasting of former Pakistan Prime minister Imran Khan on all TV channels. The decision was made due to continuous false allegations Imran khan's speeches made on institutions. The notification stated further said that the PTI chairman through his hated speech spread negativity and hated among people and institutions. The media regulatory authority also informed to ban the terror attacks coverage.

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry also said that nefarious moves are made to silence Imran Khan's voice by the government. Meanwhile, HRCP condemned Pemra's decision to prohibit PTI president Imran Khan's live and taped remarks from being broadcast on electronic media. "We have always resisted attempts to curtail voices in the past—whether under the previous administration or earlier—and we continue to stand by our commitment to freedom of expression, regardless of the person's political views," the HRCP stated in a statement published on Sunday. The prohibition must be lifted immediately."
