PSL 8 Karachi Kings Beat Lahore Qalandars by 74 Runs

Newstoday: A 67-run victory by Karachi Kings over Lahore Qalandars marked the first match of Season 8 of the Pakistan Super League. Yesterday's match was played at National Stadium in Karachi, where the Lahore Qalandar team won the toss and the team invited Imad started to bat first.

Karachi Kings innings Marks

At the start, the Team start a great opening by Matthew Wade, James Vince scored 70 runs during the first wicket. James Vince scored 46 runs to bring the score up to 120 after Shoaib Malik was dismissed with a total of 120, adding four more runs in the process. Later, Ben Cutting and skipper Imad Wasim worked together to raise the score to 176, Shaheen Afridi chose Ben Cutting as his target. James made 46 runs while Imad Wasim, the captain, was the standout batter with 35 runs not out. In 20 overs, Karachi Kings scored 185 runs while losing five wickets.

Lahore Qalandars' performance

Lahore Qalandars began batting to reach the goal, but Fakhar Zaman was eventually dismissed with a score of 40. Hope went back to the pavilion after adding another five runs. After playing a 45-run inning, Mirza Baig returned to the pavilion with a final score of 86. Imad's XI was successful with Akif Javed's performance replacing Andrew Tye and Sharjeel Khan.
