PSL 8: Karachi Kings Knocked Out Lahore Qalandars by 86 Runs

Newstoday:  Lahore Qalandars, who leads the points table, were beaten by Karachi Kings, who finished last, by 86 runs. The PSL 8 group round has concluded, and the playoff stage will begin on March 15 following a two-day break. In the 30th match of Pakistan Super League Season 8, Karachi Kings skipper Imad Wasim won the toss and chose to bat first at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on Sunday.

Karachi Kings set Lahore Qalandars a goal of 197 runs to win, and the whole Lahore Qalandars squad was bowled out for 110 runs in 18.5 overs. Hussain Talat led the Lahore Qalandars with 25 runs, followed by Haris Rauf (18 runs) and Fakhar Zaman (13 runs). Imad Wasim, Akif Javed, Muhammad Umar, and Imran Tahir of the Karachi Kings each grabbed two wickets, while James Fuller took one. Previously, Karachi Kings scored 196 runs in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Mohammad Akhlaq (51) and skipper Imad Wasim scored (45), whereas Tayyab Tahir made 41 runs and Ben Cutting scored 33 which were impressive. The first playoff match is to be played on the 15th of march between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars team at Gadaffi stadium.
