PTI Top Brass Arrested Outside Parliament House

News Today: Clashes emerged between Marwat’s followers and the ISB police during the arrest. ISB police detained PTI’s Chairman Advocate Gohar Ali Khan and MNA Marwat outside Parliament. Reports say heavy police force presence outside the Parliament gate was ready to detain the Marwat and other PTI bigwigs. Marwat was taken into the custody of police forcefully.

His arrest erupted skirmishes between his supporters and police. Sources reveal that the arrest was the backlash of legal violations committed during PTI’s rally. The registered violations include breaching commitments, disrupting the decided route, exceeding the allowed time limit, delivering anti-state addresses, and strafing Islamabad police.

PTI claims the detention of Advocate Shoaib Shaheen as well. Police anticipated the arrest of Zartaj Gul and senior leader Omar Ayub, while Gul managed to escape arrest by deceiving the police. Several legal cases have been filed against PTI under the Public Order and Peace Act.

Despite the chaos and a long gap, IK’s beleaguered party held a political rally in Islamabad to show its power in the capital. SCBAP strictly rebuked the arrest of the esteemed members of the association. It stated that there should be no confusion, and the legal association will not spare any infringement on the fundamental rights of our legal community.
