Recorded major decline in gas availability in the country

News Today: According to Petroleum Division sources, the country’s gas production continues to decline and Sui Southern has experienced a further 60 MMSCFD in gas availability, while Sui Southern currently has 730 MMCF of gas available.

Petroleum Division sources say that gas availability has decreased by 7.5% in December 2024 compared to December 2023, while a major decline of 40% has been recorded in gas availability compared to 6 years ago.

Sources say that to ensure gas availability in winter, no gas field is allowed to be repaired in winter and due to severe gas shortage, gas wells were repaired by October.
