State of New Jersey Passes Resolution to Declare January as Muslim Heritage Month

Newstoday: Governor Phil Murphy Tamara Murphy attended an Eid Celebration at Drumthwacket today to commemorate the conclusion of Ramadan. During the event, Governor Murphy signed a joint resolution announcing January to be "Muslim Heritage Month" in New Jersey.

This designation intends to increase awareness and acceptance of the state's Muslim community's numerous contributions, expanding on Governor Murphy's and the Legislature's joint commitment to recognizing the value of New Jersey's inhabitants' diverse religious and cultural traditions. The governor has stated that he is happy to declare this month (January) as Muslim Heritage Month since it sheds light on rich histories. New Jersey is proud of its variety and will recognize the good influence it has had on the state's growth and positivity.
