World's Biggest Bidder for Manchester United Submits a $6 billion Offer

Qatar Foreign

Newstoday: Prince Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has made a new proposal for Manchester United, which is estimated to be worth £5 billion ($6.12 billion). The offer was made in February by Sheikh Jassim, the son of Qatar's previous prime minister. Sheikh Jassim's Nine Two Foundation claims that the proposal is debt-free, according to a spokeswoman for him.  On Thursday, Finnish entrepreneur Thomas Zilliacus made a proposal and informed Reuters that he was ready to pay a premium for the English football team.

As 17 years have passed since the Glazer family bought United at Old Trafford, they began exploring options for the record 20-time English champions.
