'AI doctor' is Better to Predict Patient Health, Including Death

'AI doctor'

Newstoday: The usefulness of artificial intelligence in medical imaging and passing doctors' licensing exams have been established. NYU Grossman School of Medicine has developed an AI tool that reads physicians' notes to predict patients' risk of death or readmission. The software used medical notes as data and was trained on millions of clinical notes from NYU Langone hospitals.

The tool faced challenges interpreting the natural language used by physicians, but researchers were able to test its accuracy and performance in different hospital settings. The hope is that Artificial intelligence health care predictions will become a standard part of healthcare.
