Brazil also made history in the FIFA World Cup group stage, defeating Switzerland 0-1 to advance to the Round of 16 stages. The BBC has reported that Brazil is the only team at the World Cup that has won 17 straight games in its group.
The Brazilian squad won all three group matches in 2002 and 2006; however, they won two matches while losing one in 2010, 2014, and 2018.
The Brazilian team won this honor again in 2022, defeating Serbia 0-2 in their first match and Switzerland 0-1 in their second match.
