Digital Passports for Animals Introduced in Pakistan

Digital Passports

Newstoday: In Pakistan, a team of young engineers and IT experts from Karachi have created a digital passport for animals. This system uses artificial intelligence to register valuable animals in a digital database, allowing for lost animals to be easily found and insurance claims to be resolved. During Eid ul Adha, this app will be available on the App Store during Eid-ul-Adha.

The system uses animal biometrics, specifically patterns found in their noses, to give each animal a unique digital identity. This technology was developed by Umeed Ahmed and his partner Mohammad Hassan Khan..A team of young engineers and IT experts from Karachi have developed a digital passport for animals in Pakistan. This innovative system uses artificial intelligence to create a digital identity for animals based on their biometrics, allowing for lost animals to be easily found and insurance claims to be resolved.

The technology, which is being launched on the App Store during Eid-ul-Adha, uses patterns found in the noses of the animals to ensure each one has a unique digital identity. The solution has been tested in cattle markets in Karachi, with 100% accuracy, and so far, 4700 cows and bulls have been registered in the system. This technology is widely used in Europe and America for digital identification of expensive pets, including horses and dogs. The digital animal passport technology is more secure and efficient than RFID tags, which can be changed or stolen.

The system can also help the government monitor the movement of livestock, store animal health information in a centralized database, and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Mohammad Hassan khan has told the media that due to this digital system, user is able to register one animal at a time but for more animal registration, user has to pay for it, which is sucribtion charges. The suscribtion charges are very low and affordable.
