Dubai Hospital Launch Drones to Deliver Medicine

Newstoday: A renowned hospital in Dubai has successfully used a drone to deliver medications to a patient. During an emergency, the drone service will aid in the delivery of critical medications to individuals in need.Fakeeh University Hospital is the Middle East's first medical facility to deploy drone technology for medication delivery. The plan will boost medical access in rural regions while also lowering carbon emissions.Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) hosted the successful testing. The initiative is in line with the aims of the "Dubai Programme to Enable Drone Transportation," which was announced by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed of Dubai. The study was conducted within a 10-kilometer radius of Fakeeh University Hospital, with the drug delivered to a patient in Cedre Villas.

(DG Dr. Juma Al Matrooshi stated that the DSO is known for promoting smart technology solutions and functions as a knowledge and innovation centre under the Dubai 2040 Master Plan. Dr Fatih Mehmet Gul, CEO of Fakeeh University Hospital, stated that the effort is a step forward in enhancing healthcare and attaining digitization.

Drone delivery service will also overcome geographical obstacles that land transit faces, allowing patients to get medications in a timely manner. Anti-collision sensors and real-time monitoring are among the sophisticated characteristics of the new system.
