Extension of Section 144 Imposed in Lahore for Another 7 days

Newstoday: Due to the severe crisis in Lahore after the Arrest of PTI leader Imran Khan, the government imposed section 144 and it is extended for seven days to maintain peace in the country. Section 144 is not only set in Lahore but also in Islamabad and Pindi.

The Punjab home department was notified with a statement on this issue and said that any kind of rally, procession, and political protest activities are banned in the City under this section to avoid brutal and violent public acts. The section was imposed under the Code of criminal procedure amendment ordinance 2023
