Grammy Awards Ban AI Generated Songs

artificial-intelligence

Newstoday: It has recently been announced that the Grammy Awards organization has updated its rule book, stating that any work that contains no human authorship is not eligible in any categories. This has caused quite a stir within the music industry, particularly with regards to AI music generators, which have been receiving a lot of criticism lately. Many record labels and independent musicians have come together to fight against their commercial use, but despite this, people are still using them to create music.

Listeners seem to be enjoying the results. However, with the new Grammy rules in place, it seems that AI music generators will no longer be eligible for this prestigious award, as only human creators are eligible. It is clear that the organization is against the use of artificial intelligence in creating music. The creator needs to contribute 20 percent human contributions in their albums for nominating for grammy awards.
