The United Kingdom's Office revealed various interesting and surprising revelations for National Statistics following the release of data from the 2021 census.
A religion question was included in the 2001 UK census as a non-compulsory answer, but 94% of people answered. There are about 27.5 million Christians worldwide, accounting for about 10% of the population for 42 percent of the total population. For the first time, Christians account for fewer than half of the overall population, a 13% decrease, yet Christianity remains the dominant religion in the UK.
Those who have not chosen a faith come in second. Their population has grown to 22.2 million, accounting for 37% of the overall population.
In this census, 3.9 million individuals identified Islam as their religion, accounting for 6.5 percent of the population. It should be remembered that the Muslim population in Britain was previously 4.9%, making Islam the fastest growing religion.
