Newstoday: According to a United Nations research, South Asia is leading the globe in eliminating child marriage, it will take 55 years to totally abolish it if progress is not made.

According to the World News Agency, a report produced by the United Nations subsidiary UNICEF stated that the pace of changes in South Asia needs to be increased seven times in order to accomplish the aim of abolishing child marriage by 2030. According to a recent survey, the Maldives placed first, second Sri Lanka, and Pakistan placed third position. Eighteen is the maximum age for girls to marry in Pakistan. However, the rate in India and Bangladesh of child marriages is greater than in Pakistan.
