The project is of PCBDDA. The purpose of this project is to take the city to an advanced level while improving improve people's quality of life. The aim of Blue Roads is intended to be an environmentally friendly alternative to standard asphalt roads, including characteristics such as heat detection and energy saving to decrease pollution and produce a healthier atmosphere.

These cutting-edge roadways are a specialized and designed in a way of coating that helps to reflect sunlight, decreasing heat absorption by the road surface. CBD Punjab CEO Imran Amin, as instructed by interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, has encouraged the project's quick completion, according to authorities. Imran Amin expressed enthusiasm for bringing the Blue Road concept to Pakistan, citing its successful application in nations such as the Netherlands, France, and Qatar.
