Newstoday: National Logistics cell started the great cargo service initiative, which will help connect Islamabad to Karachi, Kashgar and Shangai in China. .The fundamental goal of this endeavour is to promote bilateral trade through the  (CPEC) project. The NLC hopes that by introducing this cargo service, it would ease the seamless transportation of commodities between Pakistan and China, hence improving economic connections and enhancing regional connectivity.

This effort is believed to be critical in laying the groundwork for the execution of the Quadrilateral Transit Trade Agreement between China, Pakistan, and other Muslim countries, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Furthermore, it lays the groundwork for the future approval of the (TIR) Convention. The Quadrilateral Transit Trade Agreement and the TIR Convention will provide well-defined frameworks for regional trade development, boosting regional economic growth and advancement. Regular cargo service by the NLC is an important step towards this agreement in advancing the trade between Pakistan and China.
