Sherman Obaid Returns her Award for Nominating Feroze Khan

NewsToday: Sherman Obaid Chinoy has stated that she will never accept the Lux Style Award's Feroz Khan nomination.

Sherman Obaid Chinoy, a well-known Pakistani director, has always spoken out against domestic violence and women's empowerment, as well as raised her voice for social issues. Sherman Obaid has won a number of international awards, including Pakistan's Best Award, the Lux Style Award. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy received the Lux Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.

After seeing Feroz Khan's name on the list of nominees, she stated her intention to return the gold medal from the Lux Style Award in 2012. She also added that she cannot keep silent about the domestic violence and the vitriol directed towards the nominees for the Lux Style Award.

Feroz Khan's name was placed among the names of other notable Pakistani actors. Imran Ashraf is nominated for Raqs-e-Bismal, Dansh Taimoor, and Bilal Abbas, and Ahmad Ali Akbar is nominated for Parizad.

Many others, including prominent actresses, criticised him for his domestic violence cases.
