Taqi Usmani Celebrates Appointment of Hafiz-e-Quran as COAS

NewsToday: Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a famous religious scholar, has stated that, Alhamdulillah, a Hafiz Qur'an, has been selected as the Army Chief for the first time in the country's history.

In one of his tweets, he stated that General Asim Munir has learned the Holy Quran and that it is hoped that he would keep the Quranic commandments in mind while doing his responsibilities. He also stated that his appointment merits a cordial welcome.

Asim Muneer was named COAS by Pakistan's Prime Minister yesterday. The defense minister delivered the report at the Prime Minister's residence. Shehbaz Sharif appointed six Lieutenant Generals.
