Aftab Sultan resigns as chairman of the National Accountability Board

Newstoday: National accountability Bureau chairman after Aftab Sultan on Tuesday resigned from the position of the chairman anti-graft watchdog. He has presented his resignation to the Prime minister of Pakistan and also gave a personal statement about his resignation."The prime minister praised Aftab Sultan's honesty and integrity and appreciated his services. The prime minister grudgingly accepted Sultan's resignation at his demand, according to the PM Office. Aftab Sultan quit his job according to sources, because "he was requested to do some things that were not suitable to him."

According to additional information from the sources, Sultan had certain issues with the NAB Amendment Act, 2022, which restricted the authority of the anti-corruption agency.
