News Today:   Dhaka witnessed chaos, violence and bloodshed during the weeks of protests against the premier Haseena. The conflict erupted by the student groups protesting against unfair reserved quotas in public jobs. The latest developments demonstrate curfew lifting, restoration of communication channels, and the release of scores of protesters. The Gen Z of Bangladesh has shown its power by sending the premier back home after the bloodiest crackdown on demonstrators that swelled into an organized movement finally demanding the ouster of Haseena.

Gen Wakeruz Zaman, army chief, announced her resignation on national television with the approval of interim government formation. Soon after the premier's departure, President Mohammed Shahabuddin announced the release of ailing former PM, opposition political leader, Khaleda Zia and all other detained people arrested during the student protests. The entire rage and charged student protests culminated in Haseena’s flight into exile by helicopter, leaving a long history of rule for 20 of the last 30 years as a leader spearheaded an inherited political movement after her father’s Sheikh Mujib assassination with most of his family in a 1975 coup.
