ECP Announced to Hold Elections in Punjab Between April 30-May 7

Newstoday: Dr. Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan, declared a few days ago that the Punjab Assembly elections will be conducted on April 30. The Election Commission of Pakistan recommended a polling date range of April 30 to May 7 earlier today.CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja presided over the third day of the Election Commission meeting today. According to the electoral body, a letter has been sent to President Arif Alvi following the Supreme Court's decision."

PTI members also praised the descsion of ECP for taking a "step in the right direction". In his video message, Fawad Chaudhry said the SC had authorized the president and ECP to go beyond the 90-day timeframe. "We believe the ECP has taken a positive move, and the president will now declare a polling date." Fawad congratulated the people on the development, calling it a triumph for the PTI, the nation, and the Pakistani Constitution.
