Newstoday: Vandalism at Islamabad's Judiciary Complex by the erstwhile governing Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf compelled the federal government to implement Section 144 in the capital. Section 144 has been imposed near the courts by the capital administration, citing security concerns. Protests outside federal capital courts have been curtailed, according to a spokeswoman for the Islamabad Capital Police. Only attorneys and journalists will be permitted to enter courts under strict security precautions.

If people see any suspicious behavior in the capital, they are asked to phone the police hotline. The latest development comes after the Islamabad Capital Territory filed a charge against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president Imran Khan and other party officials for vandalizing and causing damage to the court complex.The deposed premier and dozens of party members were charged with terrorism for hooliganism and causing damage to state-owned property.
