NewsToday: Imran Khan thanked the new military leadership for their efforts and expressed optimism that Trust will be rebuilt between Pakistanis and the state.

Imran Khan congratulated General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and General Syed Asim Munir on their appointments as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of Army Staff, respectively.

Imran Khan stated that it is hoped that the new military leadership would end the recent lack of trust between the population and the state.

According to Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf, the state's power is drawn from the people.

Imran Khan also tweeted Quaid-e-edict Azam's on the army, in which Quaid-e-Azam instructed the army, "Don't forget that you in the armed forces are the servants of the people." You, the people, do not make national policy. We, citizens, make these decisions, and it is your job to carry out the responsibilities that have been allocated to you.
