News Today: The presidential election to be held in the United States on November 5, 2024 will cost at least 15 billion 90 million dollars (44 trillion 16 billion rupees), including the election of members of the House of Representatives.
In Pakistani rupee terms, these expenditures amount to Rs 4.42 trillion, which is equivalent to 52 percent of Pakistan's total exports in 2023-24.
According to OpenHackers, a nonpartisan organisation involved in American politics, spenders include outside groups that pour money into election ads and campaigns to improve the chances of success for candidates they support up to $2.6 billion to reach.
In 2020, candidate advocacy groups spent more than a billion dollars.
