Pakistan is Removed from the EU's List of High-Risk Third Countries

European Union

Newstoday: According to recent foreign media reports, the European Union administration has withdrawn the third country from the high-risk warning list. This plays an outstanding role in combating money laundering and terrorism funding, both of which pose a significant danger to the financial system. Taking into consideration the amended approach, the commission concluded that these jurisdictions no longer have any AML and CFT strategic framework and are not capable of posing a financial terrorism threat. Without the required entities, such as credit, financial, and legal processes, it is impossible to apply for this diligence. The following are the titles that are included as countable requirements:

  • External accountants, tax advisors, and auditors

  • Legal professionals and notaries

  • Real property (buying and selling)

  • Managing client funds, securities, or other assets
