Sindh Police

Newstoday: According to News reporters (IGP) Ghulam Nabi Memon prohibited police officers from using mobile phones. It was noted that police officials were using mobile phones while on duty despite "clear orders in this regard having already been issued to all field formations," according to a communiqué delivered to all police officers on behalf of the Sindh IGP. Sindh Police has given a warning to the police department for such disrespectful action. He warned that anyone breaking the regulations would face harsh punishment. The memo stated that it was up to the field formations to ensure that the instructions were followed exactly.

The incident happened after the horrific attack on the Karachi Police Office last week, which resulted in the deaths of five police officers and the injury of sixteen others.
