NewsToday:  India's famed female athlete PT Usha has become the Indian Olympic Association's first female president in the organization's 95-year existence.

According to News reporters, India's famed female athlete PT Usha was voted unopposed as the Indian Olympic Association's first female president in the organization's 95-year existence.

Usha, the first athlete to hold the title, was known as the Peveli Express and won 11 medals, including four golds, at the Asian Games between 1982 and 1994.

From 1983 to 1998, Usha won a total of 23 medals at the Asian Championships, including 14 golds, including four golds at the 1986 Seoul Asian Games. She was denied the gold medal.
