Renowned Poet, Writer, and Playwright Amjad Islam Amjad Passed Away Due to Heart Attack

NewsToday: Amjad Islam, a renowned dramatist, poet, and author, died. His family has verified the passing of eminent poet Amjad Islam Amjad. His death was caused due by a heart attack. He was born in 1944 on 4 August in Lahore and did his master's in Urdu literature from the University of Punjab in 1967. After that, he was appointed to MAO College.

In a career spanning 50 years, Amjad Islam Amjad wrote more than 40 books, including Sitara-e-Imtiaz. Despite this, he was awarded many accolades for his literary work and his screenplay for a TV play. Waris, Raat, Dehleez, and Samandar are some of his famous dramas.
