NewsToday: Damien Veil, Twitter's French operations director, resigned in protest of the layoffs. "It's over," he tweeted before thanking his French team, which he had commanded for the last seven years. In an interview with Reuters, he also revealed that he is quitting Twitter owing to Elon Musk's takeover of the Twitter system and enormous layoffs and unneeded measures, including top personnel.

He did not provide any explanation for his responsibilities or departure after or before Elon Musk took over the Twitter system last month.
It should be highlighted that corporations cannot terminate permanent staff overnight under French labor regulations. They must properly tell employees their intentions to terminate, adhere to a set notice period, and get written acknowledgment or receipt.
The complete procedure might take several weeks to many months. In contrast, Twitter's representative in France has not published a word since Elon Musk took control in October. Since the world's richest man took over Twitter, the firm has struggled, and Elon Musk has even hinted at the social media platform's demise.
