Under Construction Flyover Bridge Collapses in Karachi

NewsToday: SHO Ghulam Nabi Afridi reported in Media that engineers would answer the heavy collapse of materials. He added that construction material was on thrown on it when it fell. An Edhi foundation spokesperson also told the reporters that the flyover pillars couldn't hold the load of the materials. The project was handover to the private housing society. The purpose of building this was to connect North Nazimabad to Naya Nazimabad.

Around a 2 km flyover was made to allow thousands of vehicles to move fast and avoid congestion at Qalandari chowk. PTI deputy information secretary Shahzad Qureshi demanded an investigation into those who "made the defective design of the flyover" and those who permitted it.
