WHO Announced to Donate $43 million Aid to Earthquake Victims of Syria and Türkiye

Newstoday: WHO made an appeal to donate $43 million rupees to Turkiye and Syria according to the WHO Regional Director for Europe said Tuesday. In a press conference regarding immediate health requirements and response in Türkiye following last week's earthquakes, Hans Kluge stated, "I expect this will at least double over the coming days, as we gain a better assessment of the tremendous scope of this crisis and the demands."

The funds, according to Kluge, will be put to use to "provide access for the most vulnerable and difficult-to-reach people, provide trauma care including post-trauma rehabilitation, and give necessary medicines and emergency supplies to fill urgent healthcare needs."WHO has the largest emergency medical team and helping people for 75 years and this team will help Tukiye. Kluge stated further that the recovery process will take time but the one thing WHO can assure is that the team of WHO will remain steadfast and will help the people of Syria and Tukiye as long as it needs to take.
