1 Billion Ramadan Meals to be Distributed by Dubai Prince in 50 countries

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE, has introduced the "One Billion Meals" programme. This aims to offer food relief to impoverished populations in 50 nations. MBRGI built on the "100 Million Meals" programme. Which was launched in the last Ramadan. MRGI raised more than double its aim in the first half of the year to distribute food parcels for the hungry, equivalent to 220 million meals across four continents and 47 countries.

There are challenges facing the globe when it comes to ensuring food security for everyone. We aim to assist our human brothers in overcoming hunger." The One Billion Meals initiative addresses the global need for constant humanitarian aid to neglected people around the world. 10,000 children die daily due to hunger globally. This is equivalent to 1 child dies after every 10 seconds. The states of Middle East and North Africa are covered to 52 million malnourished people, mainly women and children.
