Maulvi Abdul Kabir takes over as interim Afghan Prime Minister after Akhund resigns

According to the media, Akhund has formally resigned and chosen Abdul Kabir to fill his place. The authorities provide him the formal letter and notification.

The country's future Prime Minister hails from the eastern Paktika region and belongs to the Zadran tribe. During the Taliban's previous administration, Kabir was the governor of Nangarhar, and he is well-known for his leadership.
