UNICEF said Pakistan will Eliminate Polio by the End of 2023


NewsToday: According to UNICEF's Regional Director for South Asia, George Laria Edji, Pakistan will eradicate polio by the end of 2023.

According to the official news agency "APP," he stated that Pakistan's polio programme is back on track, and it is hoped that with adequate steps to prevent its spread, the disease would be eradicated by the end of 2023. The sickness will be wiped out.

He stated that the virus is currently under control in the nation and that we are employing all available resources and services to defeat polio in Pakistan.The Regional Director of UNICEF applauded the efforts of more than 350,000 health professionals and stated that the programme is on pace to remove all poliovirus transmission by 2023.
