McDonald's Closes US Offices and Plans to Lay Off Thousands of Employees

Newstoday: According to international news, McDonald's, the biggest food chain planning to close its U.S. offices. Moreover, they are also expecting to lay off an undefined number of corporate staff. A McDonald's representative did not answer promptly to a CBS MoneyWatch inquiry about how many jobs will be cut or why the firm closed its offices. McDonald's employs over 150,000 people in corporate and company-owned locations. Around 70% of that personnel are located outside of the United States.
