United Nations Environment Program Plans to Open Office in Pakistan

NewsToday: Pakistan requests UNEP to establish its office in the country. The government aims to address climate change issues. UNEP has different branches in different continents, such as North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and West Asia, Africa, Asia, Pacific. UNEP aims to highlight critical environmental issues such as the living Indus program.

Inger Andersen, UNSG Executive director, spoke to Sindh Chief Minister and climate change minister to address the Pakistan climate change issues. UNEP will analyze the environment of Pakistan and trends in energy sectors to improve the quality of life in Pakistan. The global community and United Nations are responding to Pakistan's call for climate change and will help flood-affected regions protect and make ways to contour climate change.
